In the olden days RtCW needed a cd key (like Quake 3) for multi player. I can't find anything around here about it. The RtCW entry in the library doesn't have a serial key section like it has for Quake 3 and Neverwinter Nights 2.

Do we get a cd key or not?

Best to raise a Multiplayer Key Request to GOG Support via their support forms. Not sure if they get keys for RtCW, though multiplayer was effectively replaced by Enemy Territory, which is free.
