The Xbox version of the game had an introduction level explaining how you got captured. This was never released on PC to my knowledge, but does anyone know if a mod was ever created to replicate this level missing from the PC release?

That would be neat to have. IIRC Wolfenstein: Old Blood actually let us play before RTCW happenings somewhat.

Isn't Old Blood in the alternate universe, like The New Order, meaning it isn't the same timeline as RTCW?

As I understand, TNO takes place after RTCW and Old Blood before Wolf3D even.
I believe the prequel mission in the console version was actually the left over remnants of the cut single player from Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. The original plans called for bots in single player that would respond to your commands, planting bombs, passing ammo and healing.

I would have loved to have seen the Tides of War content come to PC as an expansion pack as it added...
-prequel mission in North Africa. Its very similar to chapter two of the PC version except in North Africa. Village followed by a descent into a tomb.
-A new shotgun.
-A few new enemies including undead dogs and priests.
-Some new power ups.
-A couple of exclusive MP maps.
-A two player coop allowing the second player to play as Agent One who normally is tortured and killed at the start of the game.

I ended up getting an old used XBox just so I could play it and I prefer that version for the extra content. Sadly none of it was ever ported to PC.

As for the series continuity, it reboots from time to time. RtCW was a reboot of Wolfenstein 3D which was a reboot of the 80s Wolfenstein games and Old Blood is a reboot of the first two chapters of RtCW.

Ah yes, you're correct. I believed wrong.
Its not a reboot. Old Blood actually takes place after RtCW. In RtCW Deaths Head actually escapes and Old Blood begins tying up that loose end from RtCW.

Where Wolfenstein 2009 fits in is anyones guess.

Old Blood IS a reboot... but just of the first two chapters in Castle Wolfenstein and the Village/Crypt.

SPOILERS FOLLOW!
-RtCW takes place in the month of May 1943. Old Blood takes place in May 1946. Same days in the Wolfenstein area but forget which off-hand. This could represent Old Blood = sequel but... well read on.
-Agent One, captured tortured and killed in RtCW. Agent One, captured tortured and killed in Old Blood.
-The villain = Helga von Bulow in RtCW. Helga von Schabbs in Old Blood (Reference to Dr. Schabbs in Wolf 3D).
-RtCW BJ helped by Kreisau resistance member Kessler. Old Blood BJ helped by Kreisau resistance member Kessler.
-RtCW features undead raised by Nazi meddling in the occult. Old Blood features zombies raised by Nazi meddling.
-RtCW boss of chapter 2 = Olaric, a heavy set demon. Old Blood features a final boss against a demon which in many ways looks like a larger Olaric.
-Another issue which makes Old Blood a reboot. RtCW = Castle Wolfenstein is in North Germany's Harz mountains. In Old Blood Castle Wolfenstein is in South Germany's Bavarian Alps. Did they move Castle Wolfenstein in the three years?

I'm a big Wolfenstein fan, as you could probably tell by that dorky list and I love the idea of all Wolfenstein games being part of one timeline... but it just doesn't work without certain games being reboots. RtCW's chapter's 3 to 5 actually work perfectly fine within the new game's timeline and chapter 5 in particular is referenced multiple times in both Old Blood & New Order. So at least parts of RtCW are definitely part of the new games.

Interestingly, Raven's Wolfenstein 2009 fits perfectly into the new game's timeline and it has returning characters (Caroline Becker who explains what happened to her) and even explains why Deathshead is more of a happy man (talks about him surviving the Zeppelin crash at the end of Wolf 2009). Wolf 2009 never really gives a date for when it takes place, obviously some time between May 1943 (RtCW) and May 1946 (Old Blood). The Nazis use MP43s which might suggest the game taking place in that year but if you look VERY carefully at some of the documents you can sort of make out 1945.

It's a shame indeed. I also played RtCW on Xbox. My PC at the time was ancient so couldn't run it, but I only found out afterwards that the first level on the Xbox version wasn't even in the PC game.
