I just installed the Offline Version and it always stops at a blank black screen after displaying the initial logos and warning messages - doesn't even display the main menu.

I suspect an issue with the graphics driver, is there a way to start in a "safe mode" to change default settings?

turn off the overlay for gog before running the game in the gog galaxy menu.

The game didn't start for me after install. I restarted Windows and then it ran just fine. I guess there was something during installation that required a restart, despite not saying so during install.
