I cant enter certain buildings or exit the first town from the right hand side gate, really sad :(

It's a common problem on modern systems.

You'll need these files. Just copy them to the game's installation folder (replace the originals) and it should work.

Pretty bad QA from GOG for their release. This is a known bug. You need to replace the AVI-files in the townavi subdirectory of your game install directory with uncompressed versions. You can download them here:

I wasn't even aware you could leave to the right - I saw the gate - but assumed it was "locked" since I was able to exit the left gate.

I guess this is the reason this bug slipped through in this release: everything seems to be working but just isn't.

Tthanks, guys, the fix does work but everytime I restart the game after that, GOG updated the game and sets it back to the original files. GOG should be able to fix this easily and update the game with this patch formally.

Try turning off the GoG Galaxy thing? I assume that's what's "updating" it.

This bug was already fixed in the first hotfix.

I bought the game right now and all doors gates ,besides tavern are locked .
Nothing works at all .
I reinstalled no help
I even tried not to paste townavi file since it was not working but just deleted the game townavi and replaced with fix townavi no doors are opened

I assume you mean everything except the Inn is locked? This would mean, that you should go to the inn first, to create a party.

Yes after listening Gareth tirade doors started open . The fix works then
