It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

This may be a long shot, but see if there's a video driver update available, and also reset the video driver to default settings in the ATI/Nvidia/etc control panel. This will result in most things being application controlled or disabled, and that's important for ruling out possible driver effect conflicts.
@Garran, I have updgraded recently the nvidia driver but I'll double check that. I will try your suggestion later. Thanks.

About the VirtualBox alternative (not a solution really). It is working almost perfect now in full resolution (a 4:3 resolution of 1440x900, on a panoramic monitor so you see two black margins by the sides). The only issue left is that the mouse look control is excesively sensitive and there is no way to control the camera with the mouse, you either end up looking at the sky or at the floor just by moving the mouse a milimeter. It is playable with keyboard and using the mouse for buttons and other UI controls.

Regarding this, I have tried lowering mouse sensitivity* from the control panel and checking the "smooth mouse etc etc" ingame option, but neither fixes the issue. Any idea about this?

Thanks.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that 2d video (intro and such) is not showing in the virtual enviroment. Not sure if that is a game braker for anyone or if there are other video clips further in the game that won't be seen.

EDIT2: The issue with the mouse was VBox related. I will post a small step by step to install and run Wiz8 in a virtualized WinXP. I am aware that not everyone will enjoy going through this, and not even have a spare Win XP DVD around. But if you, like me, MUST play Wiz8 despite tempting refunds or falling skies, then this may be a cure.

EDIT3: By the way, never in my life have seen a faster support service, all emails being answered in under ten minutes. I wonder how they do that.

This is a bit left field but since you are using the default windows i.e. defender have you checked that the so called parenting control settings are turned off because wizardry 8 has a not safe rating… in Australia that’s an M but I don’t know what censorship system Spain has.
Hm, I have not found any parental control panel in my system, maybe it is not installed in Windows 7 Professional?

Yes, thank you. I mean, anyway, if it is not installed it can hardly be a problem. I surrender. It works fine over VirtualBox and I am already having a good time with it. I hope someone at GoG can figure out what the issue is.

Thank you all for the suggestions. This is a very helpfull community here.
