So I am starting to dig GOG Galaxy and was wondering why there isn't an option to have the DOS version of Wizardry 7 in the launcher? I have never played Wizardry 7 Gold because I never cared for the character art style.

What advantage would expect to see by running the DOS game through Galaxy? I'm also playing with the little auto-mapping program release for it years ago--works fine but doesn't do very much, actually, except provide a bare-bones map. Galaxy would just get in the way.

I agree about GOLD--it's pretty lame...! Surprising, really. Looks as if a real amateur tried--but failed--to improve the graphics in the GOLD game. The GOLD introduction locks up my Win10x64 installation, surprisingly enough--and I find it inferior to the DOS game intro. All of the GOLD "improvements" look and play like sloppy, buggy hacks.

The graphics in the DOS version are slightly below average, imo, but the GOLD version is truly an abomination...;) Ugh.
Oh I just like seeing the time played after I finish a game and I like seeing all my games in one place. Its not a big deal really, but it would be nice.

I loaded up gold for a minute just to see the difference, the music is nice but I cant even get the game to go full screen which is sort of unacceptable to me.

I love the art in the regular DOS game, its has a lot of character.

It might just be me, but I actually prefer *not* seeing the time played, and I prefer it when games do not have an in game timer for this reason (or at least not one that is unavoidable in normal play).
