Just wondering one thing about Wizardry 6 and 7, as I am not as familiar with these games as I am the rest of the series (except 3, which I'm not that familiar with either). (In particular, I haven't played these games, though I've watched Wizardry 6 and 7.)

I notice that there's a skill called Scribe, which is specifically for using scrolls. In the Sir-Tech Wizardries I've played, scrolls have tended to be rather rare and/or overpriced for what they are, to the point where they feel pointless. (Why bother with a scroll of HALITO? It's not good as a spell, so why would one want to use it via a single use item that isn't common enough to use constantly?) It seems like, if scrolls are still rare and overpriced, that having a skill just for scrolls is rather pointless, and is not worth investing in it?

So, is it worth investing in the Scribe skill, or are scrolls too expensive for what they are, and hence still not worth bothering with?

(Incidentally, scrolls are bette in some of the Japanese Wizardries; for example, in Wizardry DIMGULl, you can buy a stack of 5 of a scroll that obliterates weak enemies when used, and that comes in handy early on.)
