Hey there,

finally got to the Nyctalinth Dungeon and to the spot where I need to drop the pineapple. When I wanted to use it, I realized that it had disappeared from my inventory. I am absolutly sure I didn´t use it anywhere else or dropped it. Sadly I have no savegame with the pinapple in my inventory. Is there any editor available to get one? Or do I need to skip that part of the game.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The best savefile editor for Wizardry 7 is DSCHEAT, which can be found here, under "Crusaders of the Dark Savant Editor (57k)". Make sure to read the included readme before continuing. Also note that it is a DOS program, so you'll need to use it from within DOSBox.

Just open the .zip into the folder that has your scenario.dbs file and all your savegames, and run dscheat.exe. I'd make a backup of your savefile first, of course. Pressing F1 on any screen will bring up the various options for that screen. You'll have to navigate to your specific character then press ctrl-i to get to the inventory screen, then pick an empty slot and enter the pineapple's ID there. You can also press CTRL-L to scroll through a list. Once that's done, hit F2 to modify the number of charges it's got (otherwise it'll be infinite) and then hit ESC until the program closes, and that's it!

Also, it's a good idea to drop any newly created items on the ground and then pick them back up. Sometimes items that have multiple resistance values (like Gossamer Gown or any of the enchanted platemails) will only have some of the resistances they should, and dropping the items will fix them. Additionally, if you create a new item in a blank inventory slot, the new item will have the same identified status as the last item in that slot. In other words, if you had an unidentified potion in a slot, then sold it, and you cheat in a new item in that slot, the new item will be unidientified as well. So if you're cheating in a lot of stuff at once at low level, you might want to cheat in some identify scrolls too.
