I am trying to import my old save game file from Wiz 6 to Wiz 7 (DOS)

After I click on the Import (Bane) button and the hit enter on the manual copyprotection question the game comes up with a prompt that points to:

Directory: C:\DSAVANT\
Filename: SAVEGAME.BCF <-- I change this to SAVEGAME.DBS to match my Wiz 6 file which is in C:\DSAVANT

After I click to proceed it says: Disk Error

Somebody kindly point out where I am doing it wrong?

What you want to do is take your Wiz6 save from it's default location of "C:\GOG Games\Wizardry 6 and 7\Wizardry 6\savegame.dbs" and move it to Wiz7(Dos) default location of "C:\GOG Games\Wizardry 7\DSavant"

You then rename "Savegame.dbs" to "Savegame.bcf" launch Wizardry 7 (Dos) click on 'Import (Bane)' and hit ok and you will be starting a new Wiz 7 game with your Wiz 6 party.

Hope this helps
What drake2509 said, except that you can rename your savefile to whatever you want. I generally like to give them a descriptive name, but it's not really necessary.
Worked like a charm, many thanks!
Thank you Drake :-)
