I just managed to farm a *Light Sword* for my Fighter. From what I understand, the Buccaneer Ghosts (7) have a 20% chance to drop an item at all (80% no drop), and a 2.5% chance to drop a LS from their drop list. This means an average of 200 tries to get said item. That's not bad for a few hours of gaming, to have a LS.

Consider that the Fighter with a LS and Diamond Eyes will be arguably perfect.

Also consider that the Rogue has two paths for late game greatness: Bloodlust and Thieves' Dagger (cursed), or LS and Stiletto (uncursed). All things being about equal, I'm going with uncursed.
