Unable to get Wizardry 8 running under Windows 8.1 Pro, tried changing compatibility settings, running as dmin but cant get it to start at all. Just click on icon and nothing happens, any ideas? It worked perfectly under windows 7

Hmm, working fine for me on 8.1; have you tried reinstalling?

If reinstalling doesn't fix it you could try changing the renderer with 3DSetup.exe in the installation folder to see if that is the problem.

Works just fine on my 8.1 laptop.

If nothing at all happen then you have some program blocking the executable... try installing in safe mode then play with the firewalls off.

It worked perfectly on 8.1 until I installed the Win updates. Now it looks like it is going to start, then disappears. I did re-install it and messed with the settings, but no dice. I guess I will have to play it on STEAM now instead.
