Dartpaw86: I made a decent party, not too overpowered, but not too weak. :3 Though one character in particular got 17 bonus points, but they automatically assigned to stats instead of me choosing. I don't know if the game automatically equips them to the best potential (I can't remember the word for that) or it placed them randomly :/

madgod.103: When you select an available class, the game uses bonus attribute points to raise the attributes to the class' requirements. The fact that it used up all 17 in your case is just a coincidence - looks like you had JUST ENOUGH bonus points for your race-class combination. :)
Awesome ^_^

What kind of party did you wind up making?
Tim: Lizardman Fighter (M)

Lucky: Rawulf Monk (F)

Douglas: Felpurr Bard (M)

Miles: Rawulf Priest (M)

Dennel: Dracon Ranger (M)

Trey: Elf Mage (F, I accidentally chose Female but gave her a male name and portrait I never got around to fixing the portrait ^^; )

(If this isn't a very good party, in fact, if it's doomed to fail... please don't tell me. I am very happy and comfortable with it. I don't want to lose my confidence and start over)

Why the hell I can't find a lib of precreated characters? The character creation process is so tedious (hate random crap in character creation and reroll boring stuff man old design can be such a crap). Lol a ragequit even before start play the game, that's a record!

LOL, I think I'm the opposite, I love generating my own characters and I hate pregens.

Anyway, you could try Mad God's Cosmic Forge, it's a character editor, so you can make the characters you want without mussing around with re-rolling.**

**caveat: I have never used this program myself, I'm just passing on what I have gleaned, I could be wrong.

CF, in fact, is NOT a 'Character Editor'. It is the Game Editor and one thing it does not allow is editing characters. :)
If it makes sense.
CF can help with character rolling though, by GREATLY increasing the chance of rolling a good attribute bonus.
In order to do it you need to run CF, tell it where the game is installed and the apply the 'Attribute Bonus Generation' patch (from the Patch Manager accessible through the 'Patches' menu.

I like a lot creating characters of my party, it's just that wiz6 use a plentybad and totally pointless extreme random, that have a high chance to generate weak pointless characters. I was totally furious against the game after one hour totally boring to try create a few characters.

Mad God Cosmic Forge, its patch for character creation should be applied by default, I'm playing on Mac and didn't see how I can use it. I could try make a quick wrapper but per experience I know it's a lot of troubles.

Madgod:
Thanks to explain how it works, I was wondering, if it's just a patch of a game installation, I could perhaps find a Windows PC, apply the patch, get the files of the game installation and use them to replace those of the Mac installation.

All the CF's patches are looking for code patterns and modify the code if found. If binaries for mac are different, then CF will not be able to patch them, otherwise it just modifies binaries (exe and OVR file for Dos versions and exe for W7 Gold) in the game folder and that is it.
