I decided to start this thread mainly to help newbies in Wizardry 8.

Probably the best source of informations of all kind. Maps, list of all items, recipes, in-depth analyse of skills, attributes & professions, spells and much more.

Those are the best imho, feel free to add your favourite W8 sites, there are many out there! I will also try to pick more of them later.
Bumping the great idea for a thread, and adding my favourite site:

http://www.angelfire.com/hero/tjekanefir/wiz.htm

It's a low-spoiler site for W8 with several different sections – walkthrough, hints & tips, class guide, useful links etc.
Another great site about Wizardry 8.

I was going to play this game but after reading that it is 200 hours long on howlongtobeat.com I think I'll stay with games I can beat in one lifetime. Im sure they are good games, but a length like that is extremely time consuming. If I happen to come by a time where Im not working as much, that is likely to change.

It's not that long and can be finished in 1-2 weeks of decent playing. Anyway, the game is fun to play, plot is amazing through whole playtime, you can hardly get bored in Wizardry 8.

This is THE game editor for 6+7+8. Do you think your characters should rest faster in 6+7? Do you want to shoot more than one arrow at a time in 6+7? Think that level sensors are dumb, or that men should be able to wear the Necklace of Endurance in 8? Want to make your own mod or create a total conversion? This is how you do all of that and more.

Alternatively, you can just use it for digging without changing things. It's one of the better ways to determine your location in 6, and you can figure out where you're most likely to see your favorite items. Spoilers galore, of course.
There is some information on www.gamefaqs.com I don't know how good it is though??? several walkthroughs for 6+7+8

200 hours is a bit generous. I'd say somewhere around the 50-60 hour mark if you know where to go and without using the speedy animations hack.

Also, I vouch for the guide in the opening post. It's extensive and informative and helped me get through the game my first time through.
Here's another spot for Wizardry maps and walkthroughs. I used this last time I tried out W6.
