Just one observation from looking at the equipment lists from Wizardry 6 and 7: Faeries can actually use most of the Samurai specific weapons. My question is: Is a faerie samurai a viable character? Has anyone tried this combination?

(I wasn't able to find a list of Wizardry 8 weapons with race restrictions listed, but I seem to remember faeries not being able to use katana-type weapons there. Is this correct?)

(One reason I thought to look at this is that, in Wizardry Gaiden 3 and 4, but not Wizardry DIMGUIL (which could have been called Wizardry Gaiden 5), katanas tend to be usable by faeries; I am thinking of maybe doing an abbreviated playthrough of Wizardry Gaiden 4 (using cheats to skip the first three dungeons), and might try a Faerie Samurai there.)

Fairies can use a big number of the swords that samurais of other species can use,
imo enough to make samurai fairie a viable choice in Wiz8, that is if you play fairies at all;)

List of Wiz8 sword skill based weapons Fairies can not equip, in opposition to Samurais of other species:
Tarnished/Long/Enchanted Long/Broad/Enchanted Broad/Bastard/Short/Gleaming Sword
Saint Bastard/Vorpal Blade/Blade Cuisinart/Sword of Fire/Demonsbane/Bloodlust
(No Giants Sword because its limited to mooks, and players who like stamina vampirism respectively are just {insert term of choice];)
