The game does not recognize my XInput controller.

I have tested it with other games and had no problems. Games I've tested my controller on: Heroes of Hammerwatch, Momodora and (on Steam) Tooth and Tail. On this game, though, the controller is completely unresponsive.

I've tried uninstallind and reinstalling the game without success. No idea of what else to try.

i got the same problem but with a razer sabertooth controller
it work fine on all my other game but never be recognize on wizard of legend
Since the Steam forums had no mention of this problem, I decided to buy the Steam version and compare it to the GOG version to see if I could find something.

The Steam version does recognize the controller... poorly. It randomly stops taking input from the controller for a few seconds, rendering combat, where quick reflexes are necessary, impossible. To make sure the problem was not my controller, I tested it with other two Unity games that accept XInput controllers: Hollow Knight and Aegis Defenders, and both had no problem with my controller.

I did, however, find the problem with the GOG version of the game. The XInputInterface.dll in the folder WizardOfLegend_Data\Plugins is defective. I changed it for the one in the Steam folder and it now accepts my controller, although with the same problems the Steam version displayed.

You can download the same XInputInterface.dll from Steam here: github(dot)com/speps/XInputDotNet/blob/master/XInputUnity5/Assets/XInputDotNet/Plugins/x86_64/XInputInterface. dll
if you're willing to do more tests (or try it as is and see if your version presents no problems)

Obs.: My version of the game is 64 bits, so that's the version of the dll that is available there. The x86 version of the library can also be found on that github project.
Hey everyone, we currently only officially support XInput compatible devices but are looking into adding more.
Sorry about the dll issue as well, we're looking to push an update to fix this issue hopefully in the next few days.
the razer sabertooth is a Xinput controller no ?
Hello,

I do not know the meaning of Xinput controller but I think there is a controller support issue in general with the game.

I am playing at Binding of Isaac from Steam and Cuphead from GoG through the Nividia shield to stream from my PC to my TV. The two games are working fine with a Xbox One wireless controller but when I launch Wizard of legend the controller cease to respond.

Then I brought my controller and connect it to my pc with USB port and there Wizard of Legend recognized it. I guess the issue is coming from the wireless thing but it is very limiting the game.

Do not change the quality of the gameplay, just would love to be able to play it in my living room or wirelessly on my pc.

Cheers.

Every controller mentioned in this thread is an XInput controller (It just means it uses Mycrosoft's standard of communicating button input). I didn't mention it because I thought it was irrelevant, but my controller is wireless too, and I think the sabertooth can be wireless too? Maybe this is a problem with wireless controllers.

I's good to have and official response. Love the game, even though I can only play it with M+Kb at the moment.

Try add this game to steam.
And launch it from steam libary to use steam's controller config.
