I think that very basic launcher is part of Galaxy. But I cannot be sure.
I also wonder how to get Galaxy client.

I'm a bit confused as well. No matter where I install the game when I try to launch it, it seems that GalaxyUpdater.exe is installed on Users/xxxx/Appdata/Local/Temp and automatically gives an error stating that Windows have no access to the file. Tried to run the file directly from the folder with admin rights, but nothing.

If anyone knows what am I doing wrong, please enlighten me :/
The Galaxy Client is included in the TWAG Beta setup and installed in the background.

ps: The Client requires command-line parameters to start the game. Use the link on the desktop or in the game directory.

A concern I have is that I installed the game on my k: drive and the client installed on c: (os drive) which I typically reserve only for the os. Just don't like things not being where I thought I put them.

For the purpose of the Beta, GOG Launcher is installed with the game. It has some features (which we're testing during the Beta) from the upcoming Galaxy Client but it is not a fully featured client yet.

Hi Belevorn! We are aware of this issue - this is a bug in the launcher. We have an issue in our bug database for it. Could you post your Windows version there, and tell us if you have any antivirus or similar software running? Thanks!

This is just temporary - you will be able to choose the client installation location, but for the Beta we don't have that yet. Sorry for the inconveniance.

I have the same error message, but GalaxyUpdater.exe is not in the Users/xxxx/AppData/Local/Temp, it's along GalaxyClient in the Program Files (x86)/GalaxyClient folder
Same problem. Starting game from TheWitcherAdventureGame.exe works, but authorisation failed pops out. I changed GalaxyClient folder destination (Program Files (x86)/GalaxyClient to Program Files/GalaxyClient). When I run launcher I'm not getting error message anymore (destination not found) but instead, nothing happens. Running galaxyclient.exe also doesn't work. I checked the logs:
GalaxyClient:
[GalaxyClient][Information]: Application initializer not allowing to continue execution. Return code: 0 ("Returned successfully.").
Galaxy Updater:
[GalaxyClient][Information]: Log started. Application version: 0.1.0.398 (2014-07-17 13:39).
2014-08-10 22:16:30 [GalaxyClient][Information]: GalaxyUpdater exited with return code RSC_NotEnoughParams
