I just downloaded the game, updated it, but it has not asked me to login anywhere, so I get authorisation error.
Also, what is this galaxy launcher everyone is talking about?

You need to start the game through the launcher, not the game .exe.
Look for the "launch the Witcher adventure game" shortcut in the witcher adventure game directory.
There you should see a simple launcher with which you can enter your login info (as well as send feedback and such)
