It happened three times already, so I guess it can't be a coincidence. When one of the players leaves the game for any reason, I get disconnected as well. To me, the game is still going on, but nobody does anything anymore. You can recognize what happened by the fact that your name is no longer displayed in the chat - if you type something, it appears in the chat, but the line is no longer preceded by your name.

It appears that most games that terminate prematurely are either due to game bugs or Internet connectivity issues between the participants. This seems to be indicated by the game showing "bye bye !" coming from another player when it appears the game should really be saying:

"Error: connection lost to game host" or "Error: connection to peer lost" or something like that.

It seemingly gives the false impression that someone has chosen to leave the game voluntarily rather than what it actually appears to be as an involuntary exit due to either a game glitch or connectivity issue.
@shad321:

Well, at least you got the basics of the game then :). Yeah, I was disappointed as well. It was the first time I managed to get 4 players into the game and it ended just when things were getting seriously started. Oh well, another time.

@skeltonbow
That explains things! The other player did say "bye bye!" just before I got disconnected. If that's an automated message, it's seriously confusing and makes it far more difficult to realize the game bugged out. The devs should probably multiply the number of reported crashes by a factor of 10, as most players will not report what they think is another player leaving voluntarily.

Indeed, I saw "bye bye !" about 4 times when I started to realize everyone seemed to say the same thing before leaving all of a sudden and before I could piece it together in my mind someone else pointed it out in the forums somewhere that they saw this repeatedly also and the likelihood of it being people actually leaving the game and everyone all saying "bye bye !" exactly typed every time was rather unlikely.
This is an issue for me as well. My bf and I have been playing side by side to learn and whoever leaves first gets back to the main screen just fine. Whoever is left gets a notice that the other person has left. Even if the remaining player selects to leave the game, the game stays active. Last time I was even able to finish my two actions at he beginning of my turn, but was given no option at the top of the screen for anything. No menu.help. No resolve or drawing options.
Just wanted to add to the pile so this gets attention. Its the weirdest bug ever. I just experienced it with quite a bit of confusion. I suppose this is an issue with galaxy, however it would be nice if an option to reconnect was added to the game itself as well
Just tried to launch 4-5 times a game. I just received my beta keys this afternoon and it's creepy to do not test the game.

Hope CDProject will resolve the problem soon :)

PS for game developpers : nice music
