Hi all

I'm trying to play Wing Commander 4 using an Xbox 360 pad. I'm using Xpadder to remap the buttons/axis to key input.

However the D-Pad and the 2nd stick (right stick) don't seem to want to play ball. They are still recognised by the game a a POV and analog stick no matter what I do in X-Padder, even disabling the stick and D-Pad in Xpadder doesn't do anything.

The only input I can set on the right stick and D-Pad are left/right on the stick (which I'm using a P and C (power and comms) and up on the D-Pad which I have set as M (change hardpoint).

Has anyone ever found a solution to this? Other than using the Dosbox version, which I'd rather not as I've got the nice upscaled videos...

Thanks in advance.
No matter what even if the game forced controller controls when one is attached... if the Xpadder is actually blocking (if Xpadder is not broken with doing so) that then you would be able to purely map controls to it without interference from the game.

If the game isn't doing that and Xpadder is working correctly then your Xpadder mapping is simply incorrect.

So, ultimately there's two possibilities for remapping here. 1) Game is forcing broken/bad controller controls and xpadder needs a working block controller from being seen feature (or use some other application where it actually works) or 2) your mapping is incorrect. Could add a 3) that xpadder could be not set up correctly but I'm assuming it is and won't be the issue here.
