Hey all,

I think this is an inherent Dosbox problem, but if I try to play Wing Commander with the keyboard, I am unable to move and perform any other action at the same time. If I'm steering my ship with the arrow keys, I can't fire, use afterburners, etc.

Just curious if this is a Dosbox issue in general, or if anyone has figured a way around it.

Strange, I'm having no trouble firing, speeding, afterburning, or communicating while turning with the keyboard. Have you tried running the game as administrator and/or in xp compatibility mode?

Also, it may be trouble with the keyboard. Back in the day of GTA3 I couldn't turn left and accelerate my car at the same time, nor could I strafe left and run forward. "Accidentally" broke the keyboard and the new one gave no trouble.

It's definitely not my keyboard. It works fine in every other DOSbox game I have, GOG or self-installed. I tested it against TIE Fighter - similar style of game, similar mechanics - and I can move, shoot, switch weapons, etc. just fine in that.

No matter. I picked up a Logitech Attack 3 joystick for cheap, and now I can play all my old favorite space flight sims just like in the old days. For whatever reason, the joystick and mouse both work fine in game. Weird.

Had the same issues.

Think I may pick up a joy stick.

It's the Keyboard.
I played WC2 on two different systems, and had your Problem on one of them only.
