So i'm new to Wing Commander Privateer and I think it's a really cool game for my first Wing Commander game i've played. The problem is that i'm terrible at it...

I've only just figured out that you can repair your targeting computer, that static is damn annoying. Having your maneuvering system damaged so you can't turn left is also damn annoying.

Does anyone have any tips for a newbie looking to make it big?

Although I would prefer to outfit your ship with two missile launchers ASAP, because two missiles always destroy a Talon when they hit the same part of the ship.

Once you have two missile launchers you can fly attack missions in the Troy system to get more money. You have to radio other ships to see what they are till you get a scanner with friend foe coloring.
