Hello all,

I've recently been playing through the Wing Commander series with NO ISSUES and yesterday I started on WC4.

Today I noticed that the [GOG Preservation Program] had gone live and that as part of that WC3 was updated with the following:
Adjusted DOSBox configurations to enhance performance on modern systems
Validated stability
Verified compatibility with Windows 10 and 11
Verified Cloud Saves support.

Since the game was still installed I jumped back in and... not good!

The problem was that the game cursor was now stuck in the top-left hand corner of the screen. (Moving my mouse about wildly I could "sort of" get it to move but not well enough to do anything.)
Pressing ALT+J brought up the Joystick calibration screen and I recalibrated my joystick.
Unfortunately, once recalibration was done, the "cursor" that was displayed kept trying to drift back to the top-left corner of the screen and exiting the Joystick calibration screen still showed the cursor trying to constantly drift back to the top-left corner of the screen.

[SOLUTION]
If you are having the same problem that I was, you can try the solution I found.
1) Go into the folder where you have WC3 installed.
2) Edit the file "dosboxWC3.conf".
3) Search for "timed=false" (without the quotes).
4) Change the line "timed=false" to "timed=true".
5) Save your changes to the file.
6) Relaunch the game and see if the issue is fixed for you.

Hopefully, if you ran into the same issue as me, the above solution will help you.
