We took deeper research into your problem.

It seems updated Windows version has a broken Xbox ONE controller driver.

Я заочно хочу поблагодарить вас за игру , поскольку уверен , что она мне понравится , если ...получится решиьт и меня постигшую проблему с уравлением .

Дело в том , что управлением иышью и клавиатурой не доступно вообще , а геймпад может только запустить меня в игру , в опуии перебраться не получается .
Ни какие манипуляцию с отключением утройств , обновлениями драйверов и прочим результат не дали .

Как мы уже сообщали в предыдущих постах этой ветки, у многих пользователей наблюдается неправильная работа контроллера Xbox ONE после перехода на win 10 Anniversary Update

Чтобы вернуть управление на клавиатуру + мышь, сделайте следующее:

1) Отключите все подключенные девайсы

2) удалите keybindings.json файл
(находится тут: Steam\userdata\@Your_Steam_ID\395570\remote\keybindings.json)

3) отредактируйте options.json file (находится тут: Steam\userdata\@Your_Steam_ID\395570\remote\options.json):

Замените следующую строку "GamepadMode":"true"
строкой "GamepadMode":"false"

Это поможет вам вернуть управление с клавиатуры. Тем не менее, ошибку работы Xbox ONE controller драйвера должны исправить Microsoft

To bring back keyboard control you need:

1) unplug all devices

2) delete keybindings.json file
(can be found here: Steam\userdata\@Your_Steam_ID\395570\remote\keybindings.json)

3) edit options.json file (can be found here: Steam\userdata\@Your_Steam_ID\395570\remote\options.json):

Change "GamepadMode":"true" to "GamepadMode":"false"

This will allow you to play the game from keyboard, but this controller driver issue has to be fixed by Microsoft

I bought the game today. First off, I am not a big fan of dwarfes, so it was a really hard sell to me. What made it interesting was the text about enemies reacting to different things, like hearing and smell. Would have bought it for more if there was more attractive content in the game. From the screenshots there isn't anything attractive about the game. Just my five cent as a fellow game developer.

In anyway, I got the same problem as the thread opener.

I am using an not updated version of windows 8 and my controllers work in 99% of all games I have bought here (guacamelee, grid, turok 2, rayman origins, serious sam 1&2, humans must answer, nine parchments, all neo geo games and many many many many more).

2 of 4 Controllers plugged in because I want to play local multiplayer (if possible 4 player local multi, but I didn't even get that far). Menu does not work at all. If I start the game with no controller plugged in, I can use the mouse to navigate the menu. With gamepad no button input is recognized. Only that a gamepad is plugged in is recognized. The game pad was plugged in and fully recognized before the game was launched. Second test of adding the controller after game launch didn't work either. And I can't start multiplayer without gamepad. Some circle of problems here, making it impossible to play multiplayer.

Would be really nice if this could be fixed. The way the game does the input detection doesn't seem correct to me as it works in almost any game except this (and battle chef brigade has also funky controller issues, but different than this game)
