Spent the day yesterday downloading the game I pre-purchased on a .06 Mbps Internet connection (Highest in my area) and now I see a patch to go from v1.0b to v1.0c. But no patch to take the game from v1.0a to 1.0b. Really ?

Not everyone has a fast connection in their area and some of us have jobs, family and a real life. I see a refund approaching if this is how it's going to be. Just unbelievable.

Here comes another 6 hours of downloading for a game I pre-ordered to play on day one. Shoots that idea in the ass don't it ?

Actually, I won't have time to download the complete game again until the next weekend. No more pre-purchases for me. What would be the purpose ?

Not sure what the issue you are having is, I downloaded it once right before release and it's fully updated to 1.0C all on it's own I haven't needed to do anything myself, which this last update was only .1MB. Also that speed can't be correct, that is dial up speed, and I would recommend any one on dial up to not try to download GB of data ever for any reason. .06 Mbps is 60Kbps which is the approx speed of a 56k modem from 25 years ago...

I wonder if you meant .06 MBps but that's not much faster, 480Kbps so yeah that would be pretty slow but with a very tiny update like .1MB it would still only take 2 seconds.
I downloaded the game August 16, 2022 at approximately 1:20 PM. The game became available at 1:00 PM in my area.

The game version is 1.0a (58053).

Basically my connection takes 2 hours for a 4 Gb download. 6.5 Mbps. Nothing else is in my area, nothing faster, nothing better and no other choice. AT&T then even puts a cap on it while charging over $100.00 a month. Why ? Because they can since there are no other options available.

So, with that said ...

All I'm asking here is where is the download for the version I downloaded (1.0a) to take me to v1.0b so I can download the 1.0b to 1.0c (1mb) patch ?

Not trying to be a dick but it is a fair question.

*EDIT

Found the culprit. I did not install the Hunter's Pack which came with the Elite Edition because I believed it to be DLC and NOT an update. The Hunter's Pack is labeled v1.0c (58089). Therefore I suppose that means I now have 1.0c installed. Hard to prove since there is no version number within the game itself. BUT, I was able to install the Hunters Pack v1.0c. So I guess all is well now. But just to clarify, the actual download for the game is written in my libary as version 1.0a

Only the DLC is labelled 1.0c

Hence the confusion.

*EDIT 2

You can view the game version through settings. Although (at least for me) once I clicked to view the version it hard-locked (Froze) the game requiring a complete reboot of my system. The version reads 1.15.0.77239

I'd delete this post if GOG allowed it.
