Has anyone had any trouble looting caches on the map? There's one above Highpool (the first cache I've seen) but when I click on it to loot it, nothing happens. I am running patch 1. Any ideas?

Yepp - had that issue, too.
But if my memory is correct, I encountered that northwest of the radio tower.
No Patch applied, so far (too many complaints about the patch, to risk it).
And no ideas, how to fix that. :(

I wish I would have waited to apply the patch. I couldn't find the patch notes right away, but I installed it because I encountered a bug where I gave Ace's Badge to the museum, and DID NOT get any rewards for it at all! He said he'd hook me up with banging loot for bringing him stuff, and I got nothing, and the quest was marked as completed.

I installed the patch because I was scared of encountering more quest bugs. I wish I hadn't because of problems others are having with the patched version. At least its good to know that the cache problem wasn't because of the patch.
The trick is to increase user address memory for applications (if you run on 32-bit system or don't have enough RAM). Worked for me (for pretty much all crashes - on fighting, looting, loading)... but I'm not sure how safe it is.

If you return Ace's badge to the museum guy he is supposed to give you 1 requisition order. Talk to Mercaptain to claim your reward.

Oh, is that all? Shows to go ya that you can't trust the internet always. I had read somewhere that you're supposed to get some awesome loot afterwards, not a crappy requisition order that lets me pick out a leather jacket. oh well, thanks for setting me straight.
