I'm having the damndest time. I found Jackie, or somebody anyway, in the cave in Highpool in the upper left. I had to climb to get adjacent to her, and now I can't find any stat, skill, or much anything else which interacts with this lone figure in the cave.
What should I be pressing/doing/using here?

E to "encounter", then hire Jackie in the encounter.


Myself, I want to know how to get rid of them to get whatever quest reward there is for rescuing them.

There is no reward, and just use D to disband them and the Y for forever.
