Hi,

anyone else also has problems finding enough money and ammunition? I am at the beginning of the game (at this research station with the plants gone mad) and i cant afford to buy enough ammo for my party. So what is the problem here? Do i something wrong? And no ... i dont have the same weapon type for all my party members ;-)

once you clear some areas you can use a utility to reset the maps (in the launcher when you run the game)
to let you re-explore areas for loot/exp

also melee will give you double exp

also there is a shop in quartz in the bottom left corner of the map, iirc it has some ammo for sale

i hope that some of this can help you out

hmm wait a minute were you talking about wasteland 1 or 2?
my advise was for 1, though you can still use melee in 2 not sure if it gives the double exp

and you would have to find shops,
there was one in ranger hq just outside the gate if its still locked and definitely inside if not locked

Thanks for your answer. Oh i forgot to mention that i play Wasteland 2 at the moment .... The problem is, that i already found shops, where i can buy ammo, but i dont have enough money for it. I sell all the junk i find after everey fight etc but the money is not enough :-(
For Ag Center I would suggest trying to stick to melee to save ammo, and/or avoid triggering the distress call in the first place, and visit Rail Nomads Camp to recruit a couple of NPCs and pick up much better weapons, enabling you to get more bang out of each round. Using the starter weapons is a lot like throwing your ammo into a fire: It makes noise, but doesn't do much else. The place just isn't designed for replenishing ammo, but once your Rangers get started for real they should have little problems staying supplied with ammo and anything else they might need.

Of course, it might be a bit late to suggest visiting another area now that your Rangers are already in Ag Center and can't leave (or the place is doomed), so your best bet now might be to get the free healing going at the emergency room so you can at least heal up your Rangers after each fight where you resort to melee. But I'm thinking that fighting the 'final boss' might be tricky without adequate weaponry. If you have explosives, save them for that fight.

Thank you. I think i wil lstart with a new group of rangers. I was not very sattisfied with my own group and wanted to do some changes with the skills. It does not take such a long time to reach this point again :)
i believe that you can leave and nothing will happen as long as you dont progress either ag staton or highpool in ther respective storylines

i know that i went back and forth a bit there doing parts of each before deciding on which one to see through
i think that both locations have a key point where it dooms the other place
gotta admit that i dont recall what the trigger points are for this

unless a patch changed this since i played last i havent payed too close attention to any patches since then
There appears to be triggers in the Ag Center ventilation tunnels that set off a radio message where the Wrecking Crew leader claims that Highpool is theirs now. And now that I tried to leave Ag Center I immediately got the same message. So that tells me that you really have to pick one of the two places and stick with it. No going back and forth between the two, or both will be doomed. Which means that the radio tower in Rail Nomads Camp comes into play, apparently.

But somewhat surprisingly I could leave Ag Center to go visit destroyed Highpool and then return to Ag Center and it still wasn't destroyed. I had only came far enough to speak to Kathy Lawson through the intercom at the door into the Central Complex. It was as if the Rangers hadn't left the area at all, unlike the previous test where they entered the Central Complex to pick up a few items, and Rose, just to see if they'd be able to save Highpool after doing that bit of light looting at Ag Center. When they did that, Kathy Lawson said that if they left, Ag Center would be doomed. But after immediately going back inside from the wastes it hadn't been doomed yet.

So it seems impossible to visit both places while they're still 'alive'. But maybe it's possible to go back to Ranger Citadel to resupply while being in the middle of saving one place? Just don't try to bring Rose out of Ag Center before it's saved. She'll leave permanently and refuse to join again.
