It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I've been trying to make a warsow account so I can track my stats and whatnot but I've hit a snag, I realise this isn't the best place to ask for help but I can't get to the warsow forums themselves because I don't have an account to log in to.

You know that little thing they have to prove your not a bot? where they show a bunch lines and you have to enter what letters they make? well I cant get the correct code. I swear I've tried over 50 times now! can somebody who got it to work help me get a feel for the rules?
how many letters should I expect to be able to find? will they always be upright or can they be on their side (or upside down)? can a line contribute to more than one letter? why are some lines dotted? does that mean they cant make letters with non-dotted lines? the picture resets each time so trial an error isn't really an option

I can't be the only person who has had this problem right? :(

It's three letters, but sometimes they're hard to identify. The lines are only there to distract bots, while the three letters are stylized. Reload the page to get another more readable set. Also, it's important to enter them case sensitive, the captcha differentiates between upper and lower case.

You might also want to check your browser's cookies configuration. If you don't accept any cookies you might be rejected even though your captcha entry was correct.

enabling cookies did the trick, made them easier to read too, thanks
You're welcome. Those captchas can be annoying sometimes, especially when you have to accept third party content to make them work. GOG's current captcha for redeeming game codes for example is powered by Google, which I don't like at all.
