Hi, just installed Warsow in Win7/64 and it runs the demo first, then after, goes to the main screen and that's as far as I can go. I can't navigate anywhere on the screen, it's not hung up as I can bring the console down by hitting the tilde key, but no keyboard keys or mouse do anything, nothing works and I close it by going to Task Manager. Am I missing something obvious or ?

Edit: I just installed it on my Vista64 partition, and it does work in it but no single player option that I can see.

Guess I'll just delete it, not worth my time to mess with getting it to work under Win7.

GOG version is a bit outdated, 1.0.2 was released recently, maybe it will run for you.

I guess it's a pile of poo, version 1.02 gives the same result as the Gog version, although you have to run it as Administrator to install, when it's started, no way to input anything.

I noticed under Vista64, there's a mouse pointer which doesn't show in Win7 so I guess that's why I can't do anything.

Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for...nothing !

What resolution do you have your desktop set to? If it's really high (like above 1900x1200), it may be glitching on the menu, which apparently has issues with ultra-high resolutions. The rest of the game should work fine though. Check here for the solution.

The reason this bug is only now appearing is that most WSW players play at low resolutions, like 800x600, in order to ensure low latency, high framerates, etc. Competitive bunch. ;-)
The topic for this thread should probably be changed so that other people with the same issue can solve it quickly.

It's nothing to do with the resolution as I use my native mode of 1680x1050 and it works at the same resolution just fine in Vista64.

The "rest of the game" doesn't work because like I said, there's no mouse pointer to navigate with under Win7, again, that works under Vista64.

That post you referred to over at the Warsow forum is nothing like my issue, I see menus just fine, but no way to access them.

If it runs for you on Vista, you may try running it on Win7 in Vista compatibility mode.

If that doesn't work out, ask on the WSW forums. The devs read frequently and will probably have a fix for you quickly enough.
Also, single player is under Game->Local Game.
