I have both Warlords III and Warlords IV. But, I'm not sure if posting the game would be in terms of GOG rules. Its sorta pirating it, but literally, there is very few places to get it. Amazon has it, but when I last looked the other day it was 90 dollars (guess its hard to get) and who knows if it would have worked on my Windows 10 PC or not (both do on my system)

Another site called old-games (not GOG) had it for sell, but that site is a scam and loaded with viruses...don't use it.

Warlords IV comes fully patched, comes with an unofficial patch (makes AI WAY better, which was the main complaint judging by old reviews) and new scenarios and no viruses (I made sure, cause I didn't want an infection).

Warlords III also comes fully patched, comes with an unofficial patch and a ton of new scenarios/maps. On Windows 10 it works great. I'm not sure on Windows 7 or 8 however.

With that said. I don't see a harm in uploading both. The company/person(s) who made it doesn't make any money since as far as I know they don't exist or/and own the rights to the game anymore (that went to Ubisoft). Both are great games that are super hard to find. And my friend DID buy an amazon copy (about a two years ago), but it came loaded with viruses (which was weird since it was on amazon, but the seller must have been shady or something)...so even then that isn't the safest bet lol. He put in the CD and his antivirus went crazy (forgot what he was using at the time, he was using windows 98 still at the time lol, I know...) and then he saw warnings that windows system files were being replaced and he had to reinstall his PC. And it ended up being after taking it to geeksquad that the game from amazon was infected (the only place I can actually find that would be legit to buying the game. I tried looking for any digital downloads and there are no legit ones I can find)

What is everyones thoughts? Think GOG would okay if I post links to both copies of the game? They are amazing games, as good as Warlords Battlecry series, more focus on combat and kinda risk style in a way, but they are just as fun to me.

The answer is obvious - no. Like you yuorself said - Ubi has the rights. And this makes it illegal and could put GOG in a bad situation if they allowed it.
As this saddens me, but until GOG get's the rights there will be no Warlords to buy/play.
ah, yeah that is what I thought.

Just seems so wasteful and useless to just sit on an IP and not do anything with it or let it be buyable for people who still want to play for decades and decades lol. Ah well, a lot of companies tend to do that for some reason.
Kinda, but they, maybe, also had to provide support and no one has money or time for that (in Ubi HQ). Or maybe 'reviving' the game would only need money but didn't bring money back? We can only hope for GOG to get them. :\
Not sure what UBIs stance on putting warlords on GoG is, but its not entirley impossible that they have actually lost the source codes etc.
That would be even worse... Althought GOG itself said that they have games, goodies, from various places, and they tweak some of them even to run 'em on new computers, but I think it would be more problematic for them to 'search on their own' for game version. And the Ubi could also have saying about it, but in the case of not providing good version of it, maybe they wouldn't...
Sure, GOG is the place for (legal) Warlords IV.
