I'm relatively new to gog.com and I just found Warlords Battlecry II in the 60% sale,
a game that I once loved. So I bought and installed it and when I started the Campaign and chose a stage, the game crashed after I confirmed my choice of Starting Units. That's what it does every time I tried. I remembered that also was the reason why I stoped playing it back when I got a new Computer. I Thought at gog.com games would be fixed for new systems so I thought it would work with this version. I used the seach function of the forums but I just found a thread about the game crashing while casting spells. By the way: This thread is marked as "Solved" but it is not.

I'm running a Windows7 64bit system and I really hope you guys can help me out. But please keep in mind that im not that familar with computer terms and stuff like this.

Try updating your game first as they done an upgrade recently and again if you are using Windows 7 Home it's going to be an uphill battle to get the game to work properly. Most of the trouble is always with the actually game play the menus always load good but as soon as it switches to the gameplay is when the problems start invisible units etc.

The game should have prompted you to update actually just the stickied threads at the top of the forum :)

If anyone anytime stumbles upon this thread.
The way to solve this problem is to change the resolutiont to 800x600 or 1024x960
Thank you VampiresBadmoon!

I had the same problem, changed the resolution to 1024x768 and now the campaign works fine (except none of the videos play but I expected that).
