On the disk for WBCII there were a few files that were extremely useful and broke down more mechanically all the different aspects of the game. I, at the least, spent hours poring over them way back when. The Appendix is a bunch of detailed information about some of the more tricky stats (like merchant and command), the Spell list breaks down what each spell does at each level of mastery (quite handy), and the Unit guide sheds some light on some things that don't quite appear in game, for example, wisps have a build skill of 11 which you can see. Ancient wisps though? Yeah, they drop down to a 10. So if you want it built quick then you ought to build it with the Wisp, and even better, the Treant, who also happens to cause Fear. The Editor guide explains the features of the map editor in great detail.

So Windows 10 is blocking the content for the CHM files (Compiled HTML), to fix it: Right click the file, click properties, check 'unblock'

Content should show up.

Warlords Battlecry II crashes 100% after selecting units before a new game starts. The game initially ran great and I was excited to play again.

The game crashes at the same place on 2 different laptops.

I'm very tech stupid, the online help wasn't useful.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the upload Naroden. I can't find a way to download the file. It wants to use CloudConvert who want a username and whatnot... gets complicated... how do I simply download the file and open it? Who the poop is CloudConvert and why are they interfering with my life? :rolleyes:

Unsure? I'm able to just right-click and select download, cloud-convert is a helpful Google Drive thing evidently, but unsure why it's popping up for you.

Hey this is great, thanks so much! However i couldnt help but notice the absence of any info on the Resistance skill in the uploaded Appendix.chm file. I know it increases ur hero's armor, but ive read online that it also provides a bonus to the units' armor as well. Does anyone know if it's true?
