Hey guys, i need help here.

I was going to play Warlords Battlecry 1 on windows 7 with character creation for skirmish mode.

All it seems fine until chapter 2 of Character Creation, where you give your name and i.d for your character, has crashed the game.

So I was wondering how to fix this problem.

Bumping it to reopen my question.

I never had an issue with character creation, but I did have an issue playing Skirmishes. Unfortunately, I could never manage to get the Skirmishes to work properly despite trying every compatibility option available (win 7 64 bit). Every time I tried to play a Skirmish, it would just crash. Campaign seemed to work fine though.

Is there was a fix or patch for the problem? (Note: I Have the CD Version)

Sadly not as far as I know. All I can think of right now would be to make sure it's the latest patch version and to keep trying different compatibility options. I think there may be some kind of Windows XP / direct x wrapper out there somewhere if that would help. It might be the only option available to play WBC1 on modern systems now.

It's weird that it would consistently crash, I know that it at least can work on windows 7 and 8 fine. I also installed it from a CD and the GOG version and aside from a few bugs which had always popped up from time to time had no trouble.

What have you tried so far? I assume you've tried different heros and it always crashes?

I think that I didn't try it yet.
