GoGer Dwarfurious and I have tried to get an MP game of Warlords Battlecry 3 via the Hamachi program and the times I have hosted via TCP/IP connection we've been successful and played a game to test and ensure it wouldn't crash.

When he's tried to host the game has failed to register. Any ideas would be welcome.

If there is a firewall running on the PC the game is running on, the port the game binds to for incoming connections will need to be allowed through the firewall's incoming firewall rules on the IP address of the Hamachi interface (25.x.y.z usually). If the game manual doesn't indicate what ports are needed you can probably find them on the web, or just start up a game on the computer and once it is listening for incoming players just ALT-TAB out of the game and fire up the Windows Resource Monitor, go into the "Network" tab and look at "Listening Ports" and sort by application name, then scroll down the list to find the game executable and you should see on the right "Port" and "Protocol". You may need to set up a few rules to allow the game to run properly.

portforward.com is often helpful for figuring out what ports games listen on also.

Hope this helps.

Hey, I can't port forward but I was wondering how you set up the hamachi server in the first place as i can't seem to figure out how, thanks.
