I mean like, does it end? Because when I cleared out all of the maps (in the retail version), nothing happened. And I was only able to play repeatable missions. :(

Don't forget u can check hints : etheria map --> menu --> hints, they will guide u trough the main campaign. Let me know if u still have problems.

It has been a few years since I played it. But I remember getting stuck at least a few times. I don't remember how it went, but IIRC, I cleared all the map, the last few missions had to do something with more demons coming through, or another portal being opened. Something like this, can't remember exactly.

And after those missions, all I could do was play the repeatable missions. I'll maybe play it again this summer, will write back if I get stuck again.

After you win the "final battle" in The Wastes the storyline ends, but you can keep playing the repeatable battles (and any side missions you hadn't completed) and may patronize the vendors as long as you like (for example selling them items acquired by your hero in non-campaign battles). Or if you prefer you can reset the campaign and play through it again to collect a second set of items and special retinue soldiers.
