I am not the brightest tool in the shed, and I sometimes forget that with GOG you have to manually update your games. I got reminded that there's a new patch from an article that I read. So I tried the 1.3 patches and those don't work, says it won't work with the version of my game. Do I have to fully re install with the 1.4 patches?, because I tried that but was afraid that it will overwrite my saves. ( I thought 1.4 was a patch but it seems like a fresh install?.) If I do have to re install, can someone tell me where are my saves so I can back them up? I tried looking for them but I see no folder that says save or something of the kind.

If it not obvious I don't use Galaxy because it defeats the purpose of buying games on GOG.

Saves are in your AppData folder

Just hit Win+R, enter this
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader\
And hit enter, will open the RT folder directly

However, pretty sure that folder does persist through reinstalls, unless you decide to completely wipe it, and the saves from 1.2, or whatever you have, should still work in 1.4
