cielaqu: You choose female portrait and the game chooses female body.
DaosMandrak: Thanks for the confirmation. I watched the character editor on YouTube but didn't know if it was the final version. Too bad, even Owlgames is putting this stuff into their games.
Well, I think the problem is mostly that there is no tangible backlash. If they don't cater to this kind of thing they get endless barrages cancellation attempts, death threats, and apparently bomb threats. I know the LGTQ+ crowd threatened to bomb Target stores for cutting down on pride merchandise and removing gay pride children's swimsuits. It didn't happen mind you, but understand normal people don't generally do much except talk smack about this stuff on forums.
I am increasingly thinking that since financial and social consequences don't scare them as much as weirdo noise, eventually what's going to have to happen is the majority is going to have to make them more scared of our consequences than the other side. Not advocating anything, just making a point. Nobody has yet threatened to kill family members or engage in bombings against a business if they didn't hire and represent certain people or cowtow to certain trends. It's pretty much them bowing to a sort of terrorism that is hard to defend against. In comparison a bit of smack talking on forums doesn't mean much.
I'm not eager to see such backlash mind you, just pretty much trying to explain how it looks to me. They talk about the mainstream being the violent ones, but as I said, I have yet to see an actual credible threat made, just the other side claiming such as straw men as they make their threats. If you were a business what would you do?
