Is "Rogue Trader" another game that removed gender from character creation?

I just need confirmation if this game has an option for "body type" instead of gender. There is no need for an explanation or discussion. Represenation is very important, so I won't pay for games that erase females.

You choose female portrait and the game chooses female body. There is also an option for custom portrait. But no, Warhammer 40K lore does not allow any diviaton, at least in the Imperial realm. Any deviation is domain of demon gods Nurgle and Slaneesh.

If you think so, you never heard of what the Homunculi of the Dark Eldar can do...
Or, according to the Horus Heresy books, the Emperor himself.

Thanks for the confirmation. I watched the character editor on YouTube but didn't know if it was the final version. Too bad, even Owlgames is putting this stuff into their games.

You're comparing voluntary deviations with involuntary ones? Homunculi sculps the flesh of victims to cause suffer and pain without victims aproval. Slaneesh velcoms those who voluntarly enters his domain.

How voluntary are the gifts of She who thirsts really? No Chaos worshipper can choose his gifts - and the ecstasy of pain fuels Slaansh as well as pleasure. After all, this is how the DE escape Slaanesh - they make others suffer for them.
This thread needs some *BLAM* & *BLAM*.

Well, I think the problem is mostly that there is no tangible backlash. If they don't cater to this kind of thing they get endless barrages cancellation attempts, death threats, and apparently bomb threats. I know the LGTQ+ crowd threatened to bomb Target stores for cutting down on pride merchandise and removing gay pride children's swimsuits. It didn't happen mind you, but understand normal people don't generally do much except talk smack about this stuff on forums.

I am increasingly thinking that since financial and social consequences don't scare them as much as weirdo noise, eventually what's going to have to happen is the majority is going to have to make them more scared of our consequences than the other side. Not advocating anything, just making a point. Nobody has yet threatened to kill family members or engage in bombings against a business if they didn't hire and represent certain people or cowtow to certain trends. It's pretty much them bowing to a sort of terrorism that is hard to defend against. In comparison a bit of smack talking on forums doesn't mean much.

I'm not eager to see such backlash mind you, just pretty much trying to explain how it looks to me. They talk about the mainstream being the violent ones, but as I said, I have yet to see an actual credible threat made, just the other side claiming such as straw men as they make their threats. If you were a business what would you do?

While chaos gods are perfectly capable of maiming and killing mortal beings, don't forget that they need devotees. They were created as manifestation of what was happening in the universe. And Slaneesh came to be in response to Aeldari killing each others by the millions for fun and pleasure. Who is to say, what will happen when there's noone to feed theirs apetite?

This is a perfectly sound discussion about WH40K lore. Humans in 41st milleniun are quite xenophobic, because they're constantly fight with external threats - various xenos races and internal threats - chaos gods corruption. One of the mottos, especially taken to heart by Ecllesiarchy is: burn the heretic, kill the mutant, purge the unclean. As we see in first act, chaos corruption spreads very fast, and there are plenty of voluntary devotees.

There is no "Body type" in this game, and the game has clearly male/female and no modern nonsense.
There are icons representing the two available options for gender. It's pretty much the only safe way a company can skate past the outrage on both sides of the pendulum, so better to accept it and give praise when studios are brave enough to design the game that they want and not by committee. Mods are wonderful.
