It seems the audio for the opening sequence has been saturated, it's pretty distorted, too much bass I'd say. The in-game audio is fine, it's just the opening sequence (before getting to the main menu).

Has anyone else noticed this?

The audio was fine, just out of sync.

Definitely some issues with audio/video sync.

Turning-down the game volume helps a little with saturation, for me at least, but it's still noticeable.

Don't get me wrong, I haven't reviewed it, but I did rate it as 5-star, it's a great enhancement of the original game, especially with the extra discount.

Ah well, hopefully the issues will be addressed soon :-).

Do you have any Audio Enhancements enabled? Either Windows ones or Dolby or whatever driver junk that's bundled with your sound drivers.

If so, try turning them off - The ones for e.g. volume normalization and bass boost can cause this.
