My issue is a little difficult to explain.

When I run Chaos Gate, the game switches my screen to full screen 640 by 480 stretched to be widescreen. The problem is that some of the image is off the screen. So if I move my mouse to the side, I can move my mouse further than the edge of the screen a little bit. It's like this for all four sides of the screen.

It's like it's zoomed in a little bit. The amount I'm missing on each side is about the length of the cursor. It's enough to affect gameplay.

I tried changing the resolution in the options, but it stays at 640 by 480 no matter what I change it to.

I tried to take a screen shot to show how much of the image I'm missing, but when I pasted the image to paint, it shows the full image. So I added the red square to show about where it's getting cut off at. I can only see what's inside the red square. (Note that the screenshot image has distorted colors, but when I play the game, the colors look fine, so that isn't an issue.)

Does anyone know how to make it to where I can see the full image?

On another note, it looks like the game is stretched to widescreen. Is there a way to make it not be stretched?

Thanks in advance.

System info:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
i5 cpu
GeForce GTX 970
My monitor is a 46 inch TV
Install path is: C:\MyGames\ChaosGate

- I tried running as admin and/or compatibility mode. It didn't help.

Control Panel ->. NVidia Control Panel -> Adjust Desktop Size and Position

Under Scaling, change scaling mode to aspect ratio or no scaling (depending on your desktop resolution).

You might be able to solve the cut-off parts of the view by tweaking the options under Size.
Thank you for the help and reply.

Scaling mode was on aspect ratio already, but what I did try was to change "Perform scaling on: display" to "Perform scaling on: GPU" and that fixed both problems.

Game looks good now.
ok, so just got the game.
i boot it up on wins 10 and in the top of screen is 3 glitchy images of what i guess is the game.
i have no idea what that means, something to do with the resolution or something.
please help.

I have the same problem you do. I'm using a Radeon high end card (4GB ram).
I am having the same problem with the 3 glitchy images in Windows 10, I have set it to XP compatibility mode with 16 bit color and forced 640x480 with no luck
I also have the Windows 10 error described here. Running Nvidia GTX 760 SLI 2gb, with a 1080p display.

I also have Windows 10 and have precisely the same issue with the three screens.
