I am totally lost in this game.

I see units when the game starts, but I cannot figure out the simple (not so simple) task of moving them.

I have thought maybe these are not mine and I need to buy mine, but I cannot figure that out either.

Why in the world would you not simply select units and right-click to move/attack?

I need to know the non-standard ways this game works by someone that "gets it".

Please help as I am ready to uninstall this game, but I really want to play it.

Thank you

Here's a good tutorial series on YouTube. A bit lengthy in some parts, but if you only want to see the basic mechanics check Tutorial #2.

Thank you very much. I thought "Play Against AI" was a heading with all the information under it.

This looks like someone tried to make a very complex and unconventional game. Not sure I will ever play this as it looks like it will take a lot of time just to learn basics let alone more complex aspects of the game.

Question answered...Thank you! :o)

Yep, it's a bit complex, but rewarding. They tried to keep it close to real military command, which shifts the whole game a bit towards simulator, instead of being a pure RTS title.
I'm not sure what is so complex about it. You move platoons around, sometimes assigning specifc targets for them to fight. That's 90% of the gameplay.

If by complex you mean having to use tactics and sneak recce troops around the battlefield to get a drop on the enemy, then yeah I would agree, it is not Warcraft or C&C where you can get through most scenarios with blob tactics. The controls could not be any simpler however, it is a very intuitive and streamlined game.
Could do with an active pause - ie be examine the map, examine units, and be able to issue order stacks to units when paused. In these game types the AI can command, co-ordinate and control unlimited numbers groups with ease in a microsecond and without ever tiring..... humans can't, once youve got more than 3 separate groups to concentrate on, the human brain cannot cope with them simultaneously. This brings on panic clicking, total loss of all tactical thought, and yet another stomping overwhelming victory for the AI.
Humans also get bored with the chore type duties constant buying of units, placing them, blah blah blah..... leads to human playing buying a load of units at the strart and tending to use them all in one group they can control in one go..... the AI doesn't have any such disabilities, and once again stomps the human user everytime.

The simple addition of active pause can go a long way to help the human out with it's pathetically limited non-multitasking pile of crap known as the brain.

That's why RTS games with active pauses, eg Total Annihilation, Age of Empires are utterly brilliant. And those without, such as the original C&C, and.... sorry to say it, this game, just suck, frustrate and make the player shove fists through screens!

Your serial number is listed in your game library, right below the downloads for the game itself.
