Why is it the more ridiculously impossible and unfair a game's difficulty is, the less cheats it has?

This game has absolutely NONE published whatsoever on the net! All I can find is in the way of "cheats" are endlessly repeated descriptions of what you have to do to achieve "Steam goals". What a load of useless bollocks!

NOT EVEN CHEATENGINE can hack it neither. Even the simple "command points" value, just a simple 4-byte number, can't be set by Cheatengine. Their appears to be a hidden "anti-cheat" backup value for the "command points" hidden somewhere else, and cheatengine cannot find it!

I can't stand this draconian anti-cheat snobbery - especially when it's done by some sick twisted mutha designer who also then makes the game as frustrating, unfair, and impossible as they can get it.

Anyone thinking of buying this.... don't..... vote with your wallets against this kind of arseholery! I'm glad I bought it when it was on a good 60% offer..... worked out about £2 - which is still more than it's worth, barely one hour of playing and that's it - brickwall time..... game over, and not even any cheats, not even Cheat Engine, to fall back on!

PS/ Seen loads of trainers, but I DO NOT trust any of those not to be just keyloggers.

If anyone out there knows of any working cheats, knows how to use cheat engine on this game successfully, or knows of any trustworthy trainers please share!!!!!

Tell me about it, this is either really hard or I really stink... it's probably both;)

If you want cheats you could try this:
http://www.cheatengine.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=552567&sid=49cc5d46313552b148034987bde4fec8
I have not tried this yet so I don't know if it works
if it doesn't you could try this:

WARNING: I have downloaded this and Norton (My anti virus) said it's a virus. I don't know if it is actually a virus or if it's be cause it's trainer, so download at your own risk

I did try a few Cheatengine tables of a few Cheatengine forums..... dunno if they were the ones you have mentioned.... but NONE worked, and as for the virus thing..... well some Cheatengine stuff / Trainers may well trigger false alarms due to their direct memory changing code. But a lot of hackers will rely on this, and double bluff you with a virus anyway when you're thinking it may be a falsie!

Anyway I gave up on this game a long time ago - basically it's just an MMO wargame with the single player modes added as an afterthought.
The Wargame series is for serious wargamers. Not for the faint of heart. And yes, competitive multiplayer is the core of the game, though the campaigns are all well designed and well presented and not just tacked on.

That said, the closest thing to cheating is to use helicopter gunships to destroy enemy command vehicles in the singleplayer campaigns. Once they are dead the onslaught of enemy reinforcements stop and the enemy AI doesn't really try and prevent this tactic.
I love games where you can`t cheat. I love games where you know you must use your brain to overcome. Love it.
right...

what about turn based wargamers?

this game looks very nice for me, but the lack of ACTIVE PAUSE is ruining the gameplay of mine

i just cannot do the things so fast as the computer :/

i dont want to play MP.

i want SP campaign only :)

active pause would be enough

or kind of slowmode (like in total war series)

but if we cannot have it - give us a trainer of cheattable :P

Well, I know the third game in the series, Red Dragon, allows you to change the speed of the game all the way down to an extreme slow motion that could act as an active pause.

Still, you're barking up the wrong tree, this is a Real Time Tactics game. It is a different genre to what you're looking for. You're not really supposed to be "as fast" as the computer, you need to hang back and see the more general decisions you have to make, not the micromanagement. You set up sensible groups of combat units, and you maneuver them in ways that make real world sense so that if they run into enemies they can react quickly without much input. Long range support arms can make "attack moves" which makes them immediately halt and shoot at enemies as soon as they are detected, while the units up front are making normal moves so that they stay in motion until you can order them to move into cover before engaging the enemy. Also, RECON RECON RECON. Never advance anywhere without recon. Your units only have a few seconds to react before they start taking damage. The sooner you detect the enemy, the more likely your units will aim and fire before the enemy does.

If you're moving blindly and never seeing the enemy before you get shot, you won't be completing any campaigns in this game.

This isn't a game for perfectionists who want to be able to progress perfectly without making mistakes though. Instead, you need to prepare for sudden losses and failures. If you want to micro-manage a handful of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles and take on static enemies at your own pace, this isn't the game for you. You need to constantly manage two or three axises of attack, and maintain your rear. Don't think, just read the terrain, and keep a couple of helicopter gunships loaded and ready to counter-attack at all times. Few things can break an enemy assault quicker than a rocket barrage as your helicopter cavalry comes to the rescue.
as for me...

second mission in tutorial campaign made me stop playing :)

i just cannot withstand the constant flow of "UNIT XXX DESTROYED" :)

as soon as i arrive at the crossroads (shooting down passing helicopters on my way) the slaughter begin

i got in this mission 6 leo`s splitted in half, two AAguns plus what game gave me (3 chieftains)

the computer attack from every direction and i cannot sufficiently control every direction

when i position my tank my infantry is being burn

when my tanks are ok my other forces are slaughtered from tank attacks from every direction

i`ve puted the scout units in trees - so what, t54`s advancing from every direction

i stopped because i thought - "i cannot gain any experienced troops in that way"

i`m too slow.

if i have such slow mode as you mention that is in Red Dragon.. then the game would be perfect for me :)
This is a little late, but hopefully will still be helpful. CheatEngine does allow the game to be slowed down to various specified speed settings, one of which is apparently so slow as to be effectively paused.

Unfortunately I am not yet permitted to post links here, but just Google "Configure Wargame Airland Battle's speed options the same as in Red Dragon". It's on the grogheads forum. If you scroll down you can see detailed instructions and a link to a Youtube video showing the process.

The discussion is for Wargame:ALB, but several posters said it worked perfectly for EE as well.
