When I try to launch the map editor it complains about not being able to find "tome.1" files but they are there, then suggests running setup.exe from the CD, which does not exist. How do I get the map editor working? Also, I did a search, but GOG forum gives me no results and changes my search replacing spaces with %20
Also, why the hell does GOG tell me "wrong file format" when I try up attach a screencapped image? WTF? I had to open these screencaps in an image editor and resave them. What, now one of the jpegs is still not attaching "wrong file format?"

Reinstall GOG Galaxy (or offline version) to X:\Games\. And even with that check on admin run checkbox in Galaxe (and\or game) exe.
Install game to X:\Games\. Check game files after downloading if it from Galaxy. Better twice (since GOG dont report result of verifying in first time). Make sure Galaxy starting as admin. Same for game exe (if started from galaxy it enough to start Galaxy as admin).

Map Editor not required this - if lauched not from program Files.

Tried this. I just recently reinstalled galaxy because it stopped working. I did a verify/repair twice, and each time started galaxy as admin, but any time I try to start the map editor from galaxy, or starting Warcraft II Map Editor.exe as admin from the folder, it gives the same message that it's missing tome.1, even though it's in the folder.

Hi, I was thinking about buying Warcraft 2, but I like playing all the maps that came with the original game, in addition to the two story lines. I didn't see if they were specifically included, it sure was fun to add the heroes and take on 7 opponents on some of those maps. Can anyone confirm they are in gog? Thanks!

I didnt het what you mean by taking heroes+7opponents. Some specific game rules\modes?
IN general - all maps from CD Bnet Edition (old DOS versions + new ones) and archive of 179 fan made maps that been uploaded to old Warcraft 2 bnet web site.
332 skirmish maps in total bundled with current GOG build (153 from installer + 179 from additional archive from Goodies section).
