I have to say that I am quite blown away from the soundtrack
Is there a chance that the soundtrack will be available as well one day?

Hmmm...just found the composer site over a detour of youtube and http://superherosoundworks.com
Here we are:

https://kochunhu.bandcamp.com/album/volgarr-the-viking
(screw itunes, one service to bind them, one service to screw them all. Hmm, was it screw it or bind it? Oh well both the same anyway. ;p)
I prefer supporting the artist directly.

Go and join the cause or Volgarr will come and get you. :p
I suggest to give the game discount from GOG to the composer for his soundtrack album as he really deserves it.

The Soundtrack is indeed phenomenal, but als long as there are great music platforms like Bandcamp out there, GOG will not get the Soundtracks included in their releases.

I like Bandcamp because of the game soundtracks and the audio formats you can get there ;)

Well, do they have the soundtrack for this particular game?
I definitely would love the OST to be included in the bonus package here on GoG for convenience.
Thanks for pointing out where to buy the soundtrack! It's DRM free there. No itunes and other junk attached. It's also available as Ogg/Vorbis (who needs MP3 when there are better formats) and even FLAC there.

For Indie games most composer's retain the rights to sell the OST. This makes it unlikely or at least more difficult for GOG to include it as an extra.

GOG can enable it as an add-on with extra charge, if the author sells is anyway it should be possible. At least it would be easier to access all in one place. Humble Store sometimes has offers with or without soundtrack (with second option having lower price). I'd appreciate if GOG could provide better formats though, not just MP3.

Hey, I also love the soundtracks added by GOG to the extras.

But you should keep in mind that this makes sense by all older gamers where you can't get the soundtracks easily anymore or if they can somehow make a deal with a bigger company, which often enough doesn't happen, probably some marketing deals when I see how often Steam offers a soundtrack but gog doesn't.

I am sure gog would love offer it to every game IF it would be easily possible and I still hope they will in time for the one or the other, hoping that those special deals Steam made with other game developers not last forever.

But when we talk about new small indie games like this one then the composer wants to get his share as well and they usually offer their soundtrack to a real fair price. Otherwise gog would need to raise the price of the game.

But another, alternative solution would be nice. When gog can offer the soundtrack for an extra charge for the composer and/or if it posts to the game on the store site a link to the composers soundtrack site so fans can get their fix, help the composer, gog can keep the price down and still supports the small developers that way.
The dirty cheap collectors just have to wait a good while longer until the soudtrack might get available for free.

I think that would be not THAT much etxra work and another nice help AND support of their vendors AND thier buyers.

Well, considering the game has already been purchased, the user already sort of has access to soundtrack. It would be nice to have it separate for convenience and as a little nod and thank you for the consumer for buying their great product.

Because carrying a laptop to, for example to your car and hooking up to the stereo systems trough audio jacks would be a bit awkward to say the least. :p
