"Classic hardcore arcade action with support for Dinput and Xinput controllers!"

I know very little about game controllers for the PC.
Can anybody please tell me which one might the best to buy?
I am interested in the most popular one. But also works well in this particular game and others.

Well, I use the Xbox 360 controller (Xinput) and it works just fine for this game and many others, Granted, I wish it had some of the finer controls of an SNES-style controller because those work best for 2d platformers like Volgarr.

XInput should work. Either that or it will work automatically when you plug it in.

Well, I use the Xbox 360 controller (Xinput) and it works just fine for this game and many others, Granted, I wish it had some of the finer controls of an SNES-style controller because those work best for 2d platformers like Volgarr.
Xbox 360 controller purchased! From ebay and free shipping too. Looking forward to playing this game using it. This makes me think of the times I played Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on my old Nintendo ;)

Make sure to get some padding for your thumbs or something because mine hurt after a 2 hour Volgarr session :D
