You say you don't want to abuse the review system, but you do a review of a game just to offend me with childish, obsolete slurs, still in the mindset that calling someone a "fag" is a clever thing to say. My review didn't offend anyone. You're the one being offensive, rude, downright stupid.

I'm not a professional reviewer, I just gave my honest thoughts on the game. Plus, I do recommend it, a 3 out 5 stars review is POSITIVE. Not my fault if you lack basic math skills.

As for all the other stuff you threw at me, well... you have 17 games on GOG, I have more than 1000, so maybe I'm not the one who should move to "$team" along with the other "idiots".

You know nothing about my life or experience, to assume I don't know point & click adventures. In fact, I've been playing p&c for more than 25 years, now, it's one of my favorite genres, and the first game I remember playing on PC was a point & click adventure. That doesn't make me an entitled gatekeeper, though. I do value story over puzzles, I do like walking sims and narrative-driven games. There's room for everything, one thing isn't better than the other, and loving classic point & click games doesn't mean you have to hate walking sims. You can like both.

A lot of passion probably went into VirtuaVerse, I agree with that, but passion alone doesn't make a good game. Having this much pixel hunt in a 2020 game IS a sign of bad development skills, and starting the game up with such obtuse puzzles does show that these devs took no lessons from the classics that eased players into progressively harder puzzles in an organic way, instead of just dumping us in a world, hoping it would be interesting enough to overcome how bad it feels to be stuck on a multi-part puzzle right from the start.

It's really easy to call other people dumb just because they are being critical of something we love, but that's just a cheap offense that brings nothing to the table (plus, it's absolutely wrong). And, at the end of the day, it's a freaking video game. Unless you worked on it, or unless the devs are paying you, you seriously don't need to take this much offense by an amateur review just because you think the game is "WORTH 100 OUT OF FIVE STARS", or something. Just relax and take it easy. And no need to abuse a review system to call complete strangers on the internet "fags".
The person who wrote that was clearly a child, even if only mentally. I don't 100% agree with your review, or, indeed, thousands of others out there on the internet. Does that mean I don't respect your viewpoint? No. Does that mean I like you any less? No.

Because I'm an adult. I know that my opinion is as valid as yours, or indeed all opinions.

Except any opinion that Tex Murphy isn't the greatest FMV game series ever, those opinions aren't valid, obviously.

That review is childish and definitely should be removed since it's clear from the start all they intend to do is call you out, however, these threads aren't much better (even if you are attempting to be as civil as one can be given the circumstance).

True. Like I said, I only did this because I couldn't DM the person in question, I don't think these things should be solved by publicly posting threads. Ideally.

Having said this, if a mod feels like locking the threads, I'm OK with it.
