Hey folks, this may be a silly question, but could someone explain to me how saving works in this game? Every time I exit the game, I end up starting back at the very beginning, with intro cut scene and all. Is there a way to manually save, or are the checkpoints bugged, or is there something I'm missing here?

*edit* sorry, I just tried again and found that it saved once I reached the "base of operations," so to speak. I guess it saves per level and not per checkpoint.

Hello,

The game always returns you to the Hub if you exit it, once you have reached it. The checkpoints just respawn you in case of death. The saving is automatic and the maps reset if you return to the Hub. If you go to a dungeon from a zone and then go back in the zone without exiting to the Hub it will be remembered and the monsters you've killed will have stayed dead.

Thanks for the reply! My problem was that I didn't reach the hub the first time I played, and tried a couple restarts after checkpoints and saw it return to the beginning of that level, so I was initially worried there was no avoiding starting that far back each time you started the game. Took me a bit to figure out the hub and how it worked. :)
Yeesh.
It'd be nice if that was explained in the game.

Thanks a lot!
