Hi all,

We've uploaded a new patch for Ethan Carter. Please download it at your earliest convenience in order to have the latest and greatest version of the game :)

Changelog for patch #3:


- Added the fast travel option to the end area
- Added the option to remove any extra camera motion (e.g. head bob)
- Added the option to choose the way Save notification is displayed
- Slightly easier section in the old mine area
- Added the improved German translation (thx Tool8!)
- Smart/Still Crosshair improvements and bugfixes
- Gamepad vibration can now be turned off completely
- Launcher now correctly remembers and relies the settings
- Birds won't chirp during the witch's forest segment
- Tweaks of the music timings
- Fixes of menu behavior on gamepad
- Added a missing sound of de-materialization in certain spots
- Fix of the turbine sounds
- Fixes of the elevators behavior post save
- A couple of smaller bugfixes and improvements (menu, gameplay)
- Changed the sniper rifle spawn point to the center of the lake

Did they nerf the sniper rifle even more? It kind of sucks now.

What is it about that sniper rifle? Is it kind of devs' joke? I mean I've just finished the game and there was no sniper rifle at all...

Sniper rifle is basically useless now...stupid devs. Gotta go full Rambo with the AA12, but no stealth possible anymore :(

How did you get past the nazi zombie assault without the sniper rifle? Were you using cheats or something? Lame.

I did it without the sniper rifle too. Basically rockets are useless against it, but you have to rocket jump to the roof of that house and throw grenades. In a normal playthrough you only get two or three of those, but you can grind for them in that astronaut level until you have about a dozen, which should be enough. Then use the skill points awarded to upgrade your fast shot skill, without which that forest level where you get rushed will be very difficult.

Okay.

So, on a serious note, are the latest updates combined with the full installer(s), or as a first time downloader do I have to get the game and the update?

I have a problem with the patch.

i get the following error:
"This patch does not support your version of the game please download the new installer"

I guess it's because i did not install Patch #1 and Patch #2?
Is there a way to patch my Installation or do i really have to reinstall the whole thing with a new installer? :-/
