Dumb question:

I recently bought "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: The Final Cut" (on sale).

Now in "My Collection", I got the following:
-- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing - Complete
-- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II - Complete Pack
-- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III
-- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: The Final Cut

I understand that there is a Van Helsing I, II, and III.

But what is the Final Cut? Is this an updated version of I, II, and III all together in one game, one install?

Thanks in advance for any clarification!

The Final Cut is basically a remastered version that includes all the story from the three games in one.
The classes are taken from VH3, but they have been completely reworked, with a much bigger skill tree. The level cap has been increased too.

The Final Cut is more than the sum of its parts and, in my opinion, it's the best choice to play the whole story.
Anyway playing the single games could be interesting: VH1 and VH2 have different classes with a lower level cap; VH3, on the other hand, has the same classes but with a completely different skill tree and a lower level cap.

Fixed.
How to make 3 stars only a 5 stars game at first release.
still not sure I understand. do you think playing the original games first still has value?

I remember the game had stuttering, dropped frame rate, is this one fixed at least for the graphic and performance parts? what is your experience on this?

Playing through Final cut now with LAN Multiplayer, and having a blast! No stutters or any issues once we got the network things sorted out :)
I've played story from vh1 then started playing vh2 and i've made a mistake i created character from scratch instead of importing one from vh1 or creating "veteran character" that starts from lvl 30.

And yesterday i've finished story in vh2 with lvl 29 seeing shiny new skills that i've never had oportunity to get, seeing items i've never had oportunity to use feeling underpowered and more angry at this. For me it's bad design. i've expected that i would have lvl 29-30at middle of game but no...

How could this matter? Why do you care about level, skills and items? I just play a game. If it's good I'll finish it. Next game...

My answer is:
Imagine you have a shiny new item for higher level so in your mind you think that you'll be able to use it and slowly piece by piece it is taken away from you. ThisAnd yes, i've had 29lvl at the end of vh3.
