As we all wait for a game with a release date that is now just "coming soon" (I though they said sometime 2022, but whatever), I thought it would be interesting to see what parts people disliked about the original. Not that I think it will make the developers say "hmm, maybe we should change that," but what did you hate/dislike/feel was cringe about VTMB I?

I haven't played it in a few years now so I'm probably forgetting. In all I think it's pretty great. One of my all-time favorite games.

The long series of right dialog choices you have to make to reconcile Therese and Jeanette is kinda nuts. Reminds me of the hoops you have to jump through in KOTOR2 to make gains with your Scuby team (especially Kreia). When you make it this hard, then the player just gets rejected when they try on their own or they consult online guidance from people who tried every combination. Or they go crazy with saving and loading a million times per dialog. Doesn't seem fun to me.

I like occasionally to play a female character. But when I do, I hate being hit on by males. That's very cringy for me. Since it's more of a personal problem, I would not expect developers to cater to my anti-kink.

Pacing... I dislike it when there is some ongoing content like emails or tv or radio programs etc. that is not designed with enough content to last the entire game. So it either repeats over and over, or it just stops.

That's all I can think of right now.

PS: what about you? Seems kind of trollish to ask a question like this without providing your own thoughts.
Err ... I didnt liked it was rushed out of the door and unfinished ?

As a consequence of that, you have to restart the game ca every two hours because otherwise it runs out of memory.

And some parts of the game lack content.

I also dont like the too simple rulesystem too much, but thats the fault of White Wolf.

You haven't tried it recently with Wesp's patches? The game now is not in the state it was when the game launched.
Of course I use the unofficial plus patch, but if you seriously believe that this restores all content they wanted to include into the game, well, there simply is nothing to restore in the first place.

They didnt get to it. Thus, there is nothing to restore. It wasnt even started in the first place.

Which is why Wesp5 for example offers a shortcut to shorten the Nosferatu Warrens below Hollywood, since there is hardly any actual content there. And what little there is, is inconsequential. You save a Nosferatu of opposite gender ... you never meet that character again, ever.

What did they plan but not include other than the stuff restored in plus. And where do you get this info from?
There are various YouTube videos and other sources about how development went.

Activision wanted out of the PC market for games, so they forced Troika Games to finish their project early.

Tim Cain himself remarked that the warrens were too long and too empty, but he might have been referring to the Nosferau lair by this. As for other unrestored stuff, check the patch readme! There are minor things that were hinted at in the game files but that we cannot restore because of technical reasons. Besides those Troika originally wanted to do multiplayer mode and even another hub!
