tokisada: I was just wondering if the GOG version of bloodlines needs anything to run properly or can I just download it and play the game without to many problems? Also would it run on windows 10 relatively easily?
I run it through Gog Galaxy and has Win 10 as OS. I have no problem with it.
So, I've always wanted to play this game, I'm glad that GoG has Wesp5's amazing bug fixes, if i wanted the plus part do i have to download something else? I've never modded anything before so i'm a bit scared ^^'

To experience the plus version of the patch download it from The Patches Scrolls, see below, and run the installer.

Thank you! I'm doing so now with the latest version ^^
I can't find any "patch+", "patch plus", "plus patch" or "+ patch" of any kind there. I just find a "Patch 9.7 final" which says, that it is already included in the GOG version. Can anybody help?

The plus patch is included in 9.7 final, you can select during installation whether you want basic or plus!
Thank you wesp5. I want to check that out later. I appreciate your work.

Does, as before, GOG version containing only basic version on it's own?

Yes, you need to get the complete patch from The Patches Scrolls site...

I'm another confused person. I'm not necessarily concerned about the PLUS version because I'll probably only do one playthrough, but I want to make sure I have the newest unofficial patch installed before getting started. My installed GOG copy seems to be the vanilla version. In the New Game character creation screen it says "base" in the upper left corner. Doesn't this mean that I have the base version installed? Isn't this screen supposed to say which patch version I have installed? Does the GOG version just include bug fixes, or do I have the unofficial patch installed with this GOG Galaxy install as well? It seems like I don't. Thanks for any help. Can't wait to play.

Yes, GOG version of the game comes with the latest unofficial patch, but ot's basic version. To play with patch plus you'll have to download it. The link is given in this forum. But if you don't care about plus patch, you can just instal the game and play it, just like that. However, I recomend using plus patch, since it adds up more original content, makes the game more balanced and, most importantly, rids off some pesky bugs, that can spoil your experience of the game.

To add to other replies and hopefully help clear up some confusion:

- the "basic" patch is included with the GOG version AFAIK.
- the "basic" patch is effectively an "unofficial patch" (i.e. it fixes bugs only without changing anything else).
- the "plus" patch is included with the download (check link provided by wesp5 above).
- the "plus" patch is the latest version
- the "plus" patch has options when you install: basic (i.e. same as GOG except possibly newer - bug fixes only), and "plus" ("basic" patch + additional content and other modifications).
- Note you can customise the additional content for the plus patch somewhat during installation.
Hello there!

What are the best/most complete mods for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, and why?

Thanks in advance.

To be honest, almost all mods are buggy mess, that make already pretty buggy game nearly unplayable. So I would just recommend using Wesp patch (+) and call it good.
